I am a therapist-in-training, focused on providing a space to help you explore your life experiences and to better understand yourself. As a therapist, my goal is to help you make sense of how you feel, your unique history and the way in which you relate to yourself and others. We’ll honor the unique challenges you've faced, what can be garnered from those challenges, and examine meaningful acts of change that support growth.
My work is grounded in the belief that even when life appears confusing and painful, there is value in exploring the stories we carry and the meaning we make from them. I draw from logotherapy, psychodynamic, and strengths-based approaches, looking into how our previous relationships shape our understanding of ourselves and others; and emphasizing the use of meaning as a tool to overcome adversity and offer direction in one’s life.
I enjoy in working with couples, adults and older adults navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, and polyamorous relationships. In the session, we’ll focus on identifying persistent patterns of behavior impacting one’s quality of life, and strategies to support change that contribute to a more authentic and meaningful life.
I am a therapist in training and my work is supervised by Emma Coate, LCSW to ensure the highest quality of care for my clients.
