My therapeutic style is about the power of listening, curiosity, empathy, and honesty. I strive to create the space for each individual to adapt the therapeutic experience to their own needs. You deserve both autonomy and support. Whether you are feeling stuck, processing the impact of past experiences, navigating life transitions, working with complicated relationship dynamics, or looking for someone who will truly listen, I am here to help.
It is highly important to me that I practice cultural humility, remain aware of the social systems that impact us in complex and intersectional ways, and work to counter systemic oppression whenever possible. We all have our own history, our own values, and our own perspective. I strive to create a space where your individuality is welcome, and where there is no need to hide parts of yourself out of fear of judgment.
My training so far has included primarily psychodynamic therapy, but also modalities like DBT, ACT, RCT, and CBT as well as trauma-informed practice. Overall, I would describe my practice as humanistic, relational, and flexible.
I am a therapist in training and my work is supervised by Emma Coates, LCSW to ensure the highest quality of care for my clients.
