Rui (Ray) Wang
Masters-Level Clinical Therapy Intern
University of Chicago

Everyone navigates past trauma, anxiety, depression, stress and mental health concerns uniquely, and this healing journey takes time. I recognize that the path to healing and growing requires courage and determination and I am dedicated to providing a supportive and collaborative space in which to explore this process. Together, we will work towards achieving your goals.

As a dedicated masters of Social Work and Counseling student at the University of Chicago, I strongly believe in the power of self growth and recovery and I aspire to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals seeking support and understanding.  I am also uniquely  equipped to support clients who are navigating immigration, who are first generation or international students, or who are struggling with cultural pressures. I am also a native Manderin Speaker.

In our therapy sessions together, we will work to establish individual treatment goals, drawing on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These therapeutic approaches will empower you with valuable tools and will help promote self-recovery, help navigate challanges, and will cultivate a sense of agency and resilience.

Throughout our shared exploration, we will delve into the underlying factors contributing to your thoughts and feelings, leveraging the insights gained to drive positive change in your daily life. By embracing these concepts, we will  foster personal growth, self-awareness, and lasting well-being.

Taking this significant step towards improved mental well-being is a commitment to yourself and I look forward to partnering with you on this transformative process and in your journey towards self-recovery.
