The decision to begin therapy, or start with a new therapist, can be intimidating. This is why I work with clients to find the approach to therapy that best fits your needs, goals, and is most comfortable for you. I strive to create a warm and accepting environment in which to explore feelings, thoughts, and experiences, while building a collaborative and trusting relationship. Together we will focus on your strengths to empower you to develop goals and make decisions to support them.
I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients including older and younger adults, students, and couples. Much of my clinical experience has been working with older adults, helping clients adapt to challenges and embrace strengths brought by the experience of aging. I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, social anxiety, substance use, academic and work-place stressors, relationship conflict, and trauma. In this work, and with all my clients, I use radical acceptance, while always considering how our enviroement can lead to mental health struggles.
In my work with couples I focused on attachment, improving communication, and deepening your bond.
